PHASE SHIFTING SLOTTED LINE FOR MILLIMETER WAVE

This paper describes a phase shifting slotted line. It is suitable for the measure-ment of V. S. W. R. in region of millimeter wave, especially at the high end of millimeter wave band. The advantages of this slotted line are discussed. Finally, some experimental results are given.

A HIGH Q LARGE INDUCTOR SIMULATION USING AN INTEGRATED OPERATIONAL AMPLIFIER

In this article, a high Q large inductor simulation (L = 1H, Q = 252) using an integrated operational amplifier is described. Its Q value is 16 times as great as the inductor simulation (Q = 15.8) using an integrated operational amplifier deseribed in references[1, 2]. As an example, a design method of L = 100 H, Q = 100 inductor simulation using an mtegrated operational amplifier is also given.

THE INVESTIGATION OF A THREE-PHASE CHARGING CIRCUIT BALANCED WITH ONE THYRISTOR

Based on the specific requirements of battery charging, a three-phase balanced eharg-ing circuit controlled with one thyristor is proposed. This circuit is free from the defects existing in general single-or three-phase thyristor charging circuit but has the abvantages of the both. It is capable of achievement of three-phase synchronous re-gulation throughout the whole range by a simple way. Thus, it is different from the traditional method. there is no need to adopt multi-thyristor in three-phase balanced network to balance and synchronize the regulated D.C. output voltage. The purpose of this paper is to present a new practical circuit which is not only simple, economic, but also able to be three-phase balanced in voltage regulation, thus providing a good design of charging equiplent controlled with one thyristor.

STUDY OF 1.3μm InGaAsP/InP DOUBLE HETEROJUNCTION LIGHT EMITTING DIODES

InGaAsP/InP double heterostructure material was grown by liquid phase epitaxial technique and "Burrus type" light emitting diodes were made from it. The output power is 1 m W at 100mA driving current. The emission wavelength is 1.3 μm and the operating time has reached 3 × 103 hours.The I-V, I-P charaeteristics and the emission spectrum of the light emitting diodes are discussed. And it is pointed out that the structure of the device and the fabrieation technique do have influence upon the characteristics of the light emitting diodes,and the emission spectra of certain light emitting diodes have two peaks, it is due to the p-n junction displacement.

A HIGH PURITY H02 WAVE TRANSDUCER

The H02 mode transducer described in the paper consists of three parts: centre-excited type H°10H02 transdueer, H02 mode taper and H°10 mode taper. The design formulae of the relative parts are derived and the results obtained are given. The practical measurement at 8 mm band has been completed. It shows that the rejection to H01 mode of the transducer is about 30 dB in 32-38GHz.

EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE DEPRESSED COLLECTOR DESIGNED WITH COMPUTER

In our previous paper[1] the physical-mathematical model suitable for eomputing the depressed collector was presented, and a general computer program was given. In this paper, making use of this program, a method of designing the multi-stage depressed collector is described. And using this method, double stage depressed collector which is used in a C-band, watt level TWT with 22-24 percent electron efficiency is designed. As a result, the collector efficiency is higher than 74 percent and the tube efficiency(excluding heater power) is higher than 50 percent.

THE SUPPRESSION OF OSCILLATIONS OF HIGH GAIN TW T

In this paper, the method for suppressing the oscillations occurred in the small power high gain TWT s is presented, and the mechanism of generating these oscillations is analysed. By adding an isolation attenuator these oscillations are suppressed of f ectively. This method can be realized easily. The final results are as follows: the gain is above 70dB, the maximum output power is about 3W.

INCREASED GAIN OF FREE ELECTRON LASER WITH MAGNETIZED RELATIVISTIC ELECTRON BEAM

The stimulated Raman scattering of incident pump wave caused by a magnetized intense relativistic electron beam is analyzed theoretically. The results show that the magnetized beam can increase the gain of the free electron laser if the electron cyclotron frequency  Q// in the axial static magnetic field is equal to the frequency ωi of the incident pump wave in the electron beam frame of reference. In this case the growth rate is ωi/ωi- Q// times of that for the unmagnetized beam.

This article deals with the design of the timing subsystem for Synthetic Aperture Radar. A synchronizing circuit is used to perform the ground velocity tracking. The time accuracy and frequency aceuracy are well suitable to the requiments of the Synthetic Aperture Kadar.

DETECTION PERFORMANCE OF CHI-SQUARE FLUCTUATING TARGETS IN A RANK BINARY INTEGRATION DETECTOR

The formula of detection probability (Pd) of Chi-Square fluctuating targets in a rank binary integration detector is derived. The ealculation shows that asymptotic performance for the model targets is equal with asymptotic performance which is given in [1].Representative numberieal results are included to indicate Pd, which are computed by digital computer DJS-6. The optimal rank quantization is approximataly between 0.8(N + 1) and 0.9(N + 1) for N = 10, 16, 24; M = 16, 24; where N is the number of reference cells, M is the number of radar's pulse repetition rate.
