Abstract Single Phase Center Multiple Beams(SPCMB) technique is one of solutions to implement high resolution wide swath spaceborne synthetic aperture radar systems. The system model and signal characteristics are described based on the introduction to the principle of single phase center multiple beams technique in the paper. A method of azimuth signal processing is presented, and is proved by spaceborne point-target simulation and airborne raw data simulation.
