Abstract This paper, based on the physical model of optically phased array, analyzes the relationship between the number of subarray and the sidelobe level and mainlobe deviation. It gives the realization process of the algorithm based on the combining the sidelobe level and the mainlobe deviation for solving the number of subarray by directly numerical search. And this method is verified to be correct by computer simulation.
