Abstract By exploring the phase information among symbols of the Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DS-SS) signal, a novel de-noising approach, used in low signal noise ratio environment, is presented. By coherent integration, this method can fully retain the signal characters and separate I/Q components of the QPSK signal while restraining noise. Combined with conventional parameter estimation methods, the carrier frequency and chip rate of the DS-SS signal can be estimated. Computer simulation confirms its effectiveness.
