Abstract An adaptive threshold signal detection method based on the ration of signal power and correlation signal power for packet burst communication systems is studied. To avoid false alarm burrs in practical application, feeble offset is added in decision threshold. To raise the detection precision, a slipped compare window is introduced when executing decision. Theory analysis and simulation results show that the improved scheme can archive nice adaptive threshold signal detection performances.
