Abstract Ground Moving Target Indication (GMTI) is one of hotspot of Distributed Small Satellites SAR (DSS-SAR) research, but it’s very difficult to detect ground moving target from background clutter because of the existence of baseline correlation which result in difficulty to separate the phase produced by terrain height and ground moving target. This paper analyzes the reason of baseline correlation and proposes a promising method to eliminate the interferometric phase induced by cross-track baseline. The computer simulations show that it is efficient to eliminate cross-track baseline interferometric phase.
