Abstract This paper firstly discusses the problem when using Partial Transmit Sequence (PTS) in the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) reduction of real-valued OFDM systems.Secondly, the Adjacent-partition PTS (APTS) and Interleaved-partition PTS (IPTS) are proposed for real-valued OFDM systems. The simulation results confirm the effectiveness of APTS and IPTS in PAPR reduction for real value OFDM systems.
