Abstract A new algorithm is proposed for Time Difference of Arrival(TDOA) estimation from a train of coherent pulses in additive Gaussian noise, named it as ‘frequency compensation TDOA estimation’. It is shown to be a algorithm with small estimation error, small computation and good applicability. Simulations are given to support these conclusion.
