Abstract For monitoring system which fixed on rotating component, the energy supply is a difficult problem for a long time. A non-contact energy transmission technology based on microstrip antennas is put forward to replace the traditional methods such as slip-rings or optoelectronic cell. Taking torque monitoring as the application background, the total scheme of the energy transmission system and the feeding method of antennas are presented. The various conditions of microstrip antennas in energy transmission course are studied and the influence of rotating velocity on energy transmission is analyzed.
