Abstract In this paper, a novel compact Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC )structure is presented. For same unit size, this structure can provide lower frequency of phase reflection bandgap. So the large size problem of normal AMC structure can be solved effectively. Several practical circuits are manufactured, and the measured results are basically accordant to simulated results.
