Abstract The impact of Doppler on the receiver’s BER performance of TDD pre-equalized OFDM systems is investigated. The analytic BPSK BER expressions of amplitude and phase pre-equalized OFDM systems in multi-path Rayleigh fading environment are given, which undergoes Doppler frequency shift. The computer simulations verify theoretical results. In TDD pre-equalization OFDM systems, the Doppler frequency shift would make channel time-variant, degrade system performance. A new structure adopting Wiener predictor filter is proposed in such systems to improve system performance greatly.
