A New Distributed Fixed-Step Power Control Algorithm

Abstract Power control is one of the key technologies for CDMA cellular mobile systems. In this paper, a distributed fixed-step power control algorithm is presented for CDMA cellular mobile systems. The power control problem of time-varying systems is converted to the power control problem with fixed-channel gain under the assumption that the system channel gain is time-varying and bounded. Convergence of the algorithm proposed in this paper is proved. Some simulations are given to show the effecicency of the algorithm.
