Design of Asymmetric Sequence Pairs Set with Zero-Correlation Zone Based on Interleaving Technique |

Abstract In order to eliminate the Multiple Access Interference (MAI) and Multipath Interference (MI), and avoid inter-cell interference from adjacent cells in Quasi-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (QS-CDMA) system, one class of asymmetric sequences pairs with Zero-Correlation Zone (ZCZ) are proposed. Based on the interleaved technique, a new Asymmetric-ZCZ (A-ZCZ) sequence pair set can be generated from a given perfect auto-correlation sequence pair. The presented A-ZCZ sequence pairs contains of multiple subsets which are the traditional ZCZ sequence pairs. The Cross-Correlation Function (CCF) between any two sequence pairs of different subsets has a wider Zero-Cross-Correlation Zone (ZCCZ). As a benefit, the ZCZ length of A-ZCZ sequence pair set can be flexibly chosen according to the requirement of the system.
