Abstract The spinning targets’ three-dimensional (3D) radar imaging is one of the most significant studies for space targets recognition. To obtain the real 3D characteristics of the targets that can not be acquired from a monostatic radar, a broadband 3D radar imaging algorithm based on micro-motion parameter correlation of several radars towards the same spinning target is proposed. Based on scattering centers’ micro-motion parameters differences in different radars, the scattering centers in echoes from radars respectively of the same target are correlated, and the 3D radar image of the target is obtained which corresponds with the real size of the target. The simulations confirm the effectiveness and robustness of the algorithm.
