Abstract Distributed power control algorithms for systems with hard SINR (Signal-to-Interference plus Noise Satio) constraints may diverge when infeasibility arises. Non-cooperative game-theoretic approach is applied to model the power control of the transmitters in 60 GHz millimeter wave communication systems. Combining with the feature of 60 GHz wireless network, a new Unitary Step Utility-based Transmit Power Control (USUTPC) is proposed to improve the performance. A detailed analysis for the existence and uniqueness of Nash equilibrium for the above non-cooperative game is presented. The simulation results denote that the USUTPC is quiet simple and reasonable. Meanwhile, the influence of different smooth parameter and price factor on simulation result is analyzed.
