Abstract A construction of multiple Zero Correlation Zone (ZCZ) sequence sets is presented. The new ZCZ sequence set consists of several subsets, each subset is a ZCZ sequence set by itself and the cross-correlation function between sequences belonging to different subsets also has a zero-correlation zone. The sequence sets constructed are multiple ternary ZCZ sequence sets, these sequence sets have the same performance parameters but larger set size compared with that constructed by Hayashi.
