Abstract A resonator with double-curvature mirror to be used as a resonator for optically-pumped lasers at very high efficiency is proposed. This resonator can be regarded as a combination of a stable-resonator and an unstable-resonator. It is a newtype of resonator which is able to obtain a laser beam of high quality.
