Abstract The performance in cooperative communication depends much on efficient resource allocation such as relay selection and power control. In this paper, a game-theoretical power control algorithm with relay selection is proposed. A payoff function is defined according to each node’s SNR, and there are different pricing scheme between the source node and the relay nodes, because they play different roles in the networks. On the premise that these nodes are responsible, the goal is to maximize the utility function by adjusting the power. Then a choice among the relay nodes is maked, according to the power criterion. Furthermore, the property of the Nash equilibrium is analyzed . Simulation results show that the algorithm can encourage the nodes to employ their power efficiently, and improve the performances of the systems.
