Abstract In order to solve the problem of recognition to the ground-based radar station using an active radar seeker, the fusion recognition algorithms are put forward. Firstly the electromagnetic scattering model of the phased-array antenna is established. Then using Doppler Beam Sharpening (DBS) technology to improve the detection probability and to estimate targets’ RCS, then based on the extracted features-the range property and the period property of RCS, four kinds of characteristics of phased-array radar antenna are constituted. Finally the recognition algorithms as well as the fusion technique for target recognition are put forward. The simulation experiment indicated the effectiveness of the algorithm.
