Abstract Distributed wireless communication system can suppress the interference and enlarge the capacity. This paper proposes a novel orderly distributed hexangular cell system to introduce the gain of distributed system into the existing cellular system. It uses 3 adjacent BSs of the existing system to constitute a new cell based on the typical directional antenna configuration. The co-channel interference and outage capacity are analyzed, then a parameter design criterion is proposed. Simulation results show that the new system offers large capacity gain over the same system designed based on signal to noise ration and generalized distributed antenna system.
