Abstract A Minimum Output Energy (MOE) noise suppression linear conjugate multiuser detection algorithm based on Recursive Least-Squares (RLS) is proposed for MC-CDMA system. The proposed algorithm defines a new cost function based on the MOE criterion and uses the noise subspace to impose multiple constraints on the new defined MOE cost function. A noise suppression linear conjugate detector is designed by using the new defined cost function and the new constraints condition, and the RLS algorithm is used to obtain the weight vector adaptively. It makes orthogonal processing between the weight vector and the noise subspace to mitigate the noise in the weight vector, and exploits the information contained in the pseudoautocorrelation of the observables. Therefore the performance of the system is improved. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed algorithm.
