Abstract This paper introduces a new family of cost function for blind equalization. This cost function family has clear mathematic meanings. This cost function includes the well-know Decision-Directed algorithm, Sato algorithm, CMA algorithm and its mutations. And new Bussgang method can be got by this cost function. This paper presents two new method originated from this cost function. Simulation results verify these two methods’ convergence.
