Abstract A class Double Repeat Accumulate (DRA) codes is provided without small cycles by the jointly design among repeater, combiner and interleaver in this paper. Degree distribution is optimized based on EXtrinsic Information Transfer (EXIT) chart. Simulation results show that this class DRA codes has more flexible degree distributions and lower error floor when belief propagation algorithms is used.
