Abstract In this paper, the imaging theories for the squint mode SAR. are discussed. Basing on the discuss of the difference between the centric side-looking and squint mode SAR, a new imaging algorithm for squint mode SAR is presented. By this algorithm, high quality image with satisfied resolution for the squint mode SAR is obtained.
