Abstract In this paper, by combining wavelet transform and Mahalanobis range, a feature extraction method of radar target using ISAR Imaging is presented. By processing ISAR imaging data using wavelet transform, giving a threshold, compressing data, and computing the Mahalanobis range of the data, the target feature series is obtained. The experimental result proves that the series is robustly invariant and can be used to identify radar target.
