Abstract Multi-Lag High-order Instantaneous Moment (ML-HIM), an encoding method removing signal phase ambiguity, can correct not only the constant phase offset but also Doppler frequency shift. Differential coding method can mitigate constant phase offset excluding Doppler frequency shift which also can not be removed in blind constant modulus equalization. This paper, therefore, introduces ML-HIM in the constant modulus algorithm for recovering received signal phase. The experimental results show that the modified constant modulus algorithm here is more optimal than other methods represented before and the ML-HIM is thoroughly adapted to blind equalization algorithms.
