SAR Weak Moving Target Detection Based on DPCA and Multi-Resolution Analysis

Abstract:For dual-aperture Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Displaced Phase Center Antenna (DPCA) in image domain may dramatically suppress the static clutter background. However, even via DPCA processing, the noise and the residual clutter may be inevitably existed and seriously affect weak target detection. This paper proposed a novel method to further suppress interference by using two-dimensional multi-resolution analysis combined with DPCA, which may remarkably improve the detection performance of weak moving target. Finally, the detailed numerical experiments are also presented based on the proposed method to demonstrate the suppressing performance of the clutter and noise.
