Parameters Estimation of BPSK Signals Based on Power Spectral DCT

Abstract:A parameter estimation algorithm based on the power spectral Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) is proposed to estimate the parameters of Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) signals under low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) environment. According to DCT’s and energy compaction, the BPSK signal’s code length can be accurately estimated after power spectral Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) processing and threshold processing. Then the carrier frequency and pulse width can also be calculated exactly after IDCT processing which can lower the noise’s impact on the estimation. Experiment demonstrates that the proposed algorithm can realize accurate parameters estimation under low SNR environment. When , the Success Rate (SR) of carrier frequency and pulse width are 22.1% and 28.3% higher than that of the compared algorithm respectively.
