Abstract:For frequency reuse one systems, the inter-cell interference is one of the restricting factors of the system performance. This paper presents a statistical modeling of the path loss of uplink inter-cell interference link from single interference cell. Through the derivation and analysis of the Moment Generating Function (MGF) and the Cumulant Generating Function (CGF), the reliable approximated probability density function of the path loss of interfering link is derived. Based on the investigation of the derived results, it is observed that with the increase of the variance of shadow fading, the distribution of the path loss of interfering link tends to be Gaussian distribution. In addition, the attenuation exponent of the path loss model has great influence on the distribution of the path loss.
