Abstract:This paper studies the network throughput capacity gain of Physical-layer Network Coding (PNC) in data-gathering wireless ad hoc networks. The throughput upper bound and lower bound with the PNC scheme are derived by utilizing the sparsity-cut capacity analysis. The result of this paper implies that by using PNC, an order capacity gain can be obtained over traditional routing and network coding schemes in wireless data-gathering Ad hoc networks.
