Performance of System Outage Based on Opportunistic Network Coding

Abstract:This paper investigates the strategies of relaying based on network coding over wireless communication context with two users and one relay sending data to the base station. Differing from the assumption that the channels from users to relay are reliable, this paper supposes that all channels exit fading phenomenon. The effects on probability of system outage are compared among store-and-forwarding, deterministic network coding and opportunistic network coding. Results of numerical analysis indicate that opportunistic network coding is better than deterministic network coding.
